When I joined the FSLCI, I was looking for support as an LCA beginner. It really was a great decision! It took me by surprise to find via the FSLCI’s online platform someone who was ready to answer my questions with such a dedication and willingness to share her knowledge. It was really inspiring and of course helpful!
Bringing life cycle approaches into real life rather than going in circles is my mission since several years. This is exactly what the Forum is about.
This is an exciting time. The life cycle community has been growing for over 20 years. Now is the time to team together to accelerate the application of life cycle approaches globally. The FSLCI will be our membership-based organization to proactively advocate life cycle information to inform decision making. I look forward to working with all of you to ensure life cycle information and trade-offs are proactively considered in decision making.
I am surprised to see something like the FSLCI does not exist already. It is great to see this initiative bring together the various practitioners, users, service providers, and stakeholders into one life cycle community. This will hopefully streamline and scale up the use of life cycle information and stimulate more sustainable products and processes around the world. I’m happy to support the Forum in going forward by bringing in the business perspective.
Having promoted Life Cycle Thinking over the past three years in India, I’m more than convinced that the Forum will help me in spreading the word and helping people see the benefits.
