Last week’s EcoBalance was off to a great start for the FSLCI, as it welcomed its 10th national life cycle network to join the FSLCI: The Institute of Life Cycle Assessment, Japan. The official signing ceremony of the partnership agreement took place on Monday evening during a welcome event of the EcoBalance conference, which was attended by around 300 participants this year in Kyoto, Japan.
During the conference we were present with our booth and welcomed a number of new members, who joined our community. We also organized a session around communication and collaboration, which was well attended and let to some very interesting discussions between the speakers and the audience.
Finally, we organized our annual General Assembly, which took place on the evening of the 4th of October. During the General Assembly members decided to enlarge our Board of Directors to 8 seats and voted into office three additional Board members: Bill Flanagan, Yuki Kabe and Pia Wiche, whom we will introduce in more detail soon.
We would like to thank the ILCAJ and the organisers of the EcoBalance conference for the great collaboration during the conference and look forward to continue engaging with our Japanese friends to spread life cycle thinking!
