Your role

You will be responsible for our internal data pipelines and API-based applications
to generate and use our cm.chemicals database.

Responsibilities

  • Technical responsibility for our data pipelines to and from our cm.chemicals database.
  • Design, development, and implementation of data streams, data structures, and repositories.
  • Design, development, and implementation of quality assurance processes and quality methods.
  • Optimization of digital data processing methods and processes.
  • Standardization of internal data structures and monitoring of data streams.
  • Technical onboarding of new team members.
  • Technical support for other teams within the company.

Job requirements

  • Completed STEM study with a data analysis focus, preferably computer science studies with a focus on applied computer science.
  • Relevant practical experience in digital data processing and data engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, MatLab, R, DAX), database query languages(e.g. SQL, QueryM, XMLQuery), and APIs (e.g. RESTful APIs, WebSocket APIs).
  • Experience with pipeline applications (e.g. KNIME, Snowflake, Talend).
  • Basic knowledge of meta data modeling.
  • Team spirit, strong communication skills, strong presentation skills.
  • Solution-oriented, analytical, and conceptual thinking.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German
