SETAC, with support from our co-founder Jim Fava (Anthesis Group), has recently digitized all LCA books that laid the foundation for LCA as we know it today. The books have been made available free of charge and can be downloaded on SETAC’s website.
SETAC applied its Pellston Workshops® format in the 1980s to facilitate the development of the conceptual, technical and methodological framework behind modern-day LCA. The work began when company board rooms and policy makers shifted their focus from assessing the environmental impact of manufacturing processes to focus more on the actual product.
Soon, the framework developed and used in the SETAC LCA workshops provided the backbone to advance LCA in partnership with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the UN Environment Programme–SETAC Life Cycle Initiative, and several countries and organizations globally. The output from these partnerships resulted in the publication of various books, which can now be accessed free of charge here.Tags: Code of Practice lca LCA Books setac UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative
