Sustainability Insights 04 – Building Trust in LCA

We invite you to buy your ticket now for our next Sustainability Insights 04 workshop, which we will organize on November 4/5 as a hybrid event in Berlin, Germany as well as virtually. The workshop will take place under the theme "Building Trust in LCA: The Power of Verification and Critical Review" and thus we plan to focus on the evolving role of verification and critical review in LCA and product carbon footprinting, especially in light of emerging regulatory frameworks. We envision exploring how these processes can enhance the reliability, accuracy, and relevance of assessments, and provide a platform for exchanging experiences on e.g. tool verification, pre-verified models, or documentation requirements for real-time emissions monitoring.

The workshop will follow our unique and successful mix of different formats. Much like during our last Sustainability Insights 03, we will have a few presentations to set the stage at the beginning of the workshop and then focus on moderated discussions in smaller groups to facilitate meaningful dialogue on the various issues. Following these focused engagement sessions, we will again host a number of barcamp sessions, where our participants themselves will determine the discussion topics for a few sessions at the end of the workshop.

The event is sponsored by IBU EPD. IBU is the programme operator for Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) in accordance with the EN 15804 standard. The IBU EPD programme stands for comprehensive life cycle assessments and environmental impact of building products and independent verification by third parties

👉 Please also note that, due to German VAT laws for non-profits, we are required to charge a different VAT rate for costs associated with the provision of food during the event. As such, the invoice for physical participants will contain a line item for the ticket and one for food costs (25€) with different VAT rates. The overall ticket cost remains the same!
