Making Sustainability Operational

Implementing Life Cycle Thinking into Decision-Making Processes Globally

Changing the way people think, the way they take decisions, is a complex process. It needs time, it needs a strategy and it needs someone to drive change.

So why wait? Let’s work together to ensure that decision-makers in business and policy contexts apply life cycle thinking within their decision-making processes!

Given the push from the Paris Agreement and the adoption of the SDGs, now is the time for the Life Cycle Community to drive a global push to make sustainability efforts count!

Read on to learn, how we want to do it! Become engaged and help us realizing our vision!

Please note, to realize our project ideas we will soon start reaching out to companies and organizations that we feel might be interested to support us. If you are interested in learning more about the full range of projects that we plan to undertake and would like to help us realize them, please contact us at [email protected]

If we want to change the way people think about how to operationalize sustainability, then we need to be heard. But more importantly, we need to be understood. That’s why we need to focus not only on what we say, but also how we say it!

Project Example

Equally important as how we communicate, is what we communicate! Information to this end needs to be scientifically sound, reliable and credible. It needs to be accessible and verifiable. Information is the single most important element that we can use to change peoples’ minds.

Project Example

A global push to achieve change relies on the support of the many. Not only in terms of outreach, but also in terms of credibility. The bigger the community is that seeks to drive change, the higher the impact will be. Growing the community is thus a key enabling factor to enhance our visibility through communication and ensure the credibility of our messaging.

Project Example

Beyond any other activity, the best long-term effect will be achieved by changing our youths’ minds. The earlier we expose them to life cycle thinking, the higher are the chances for new generations to think different. The more people learn and understand the importance of taking a life cycle perspective, the more will also apply life cycle thinking!
