COLLABORATE, INNOVATE, CO-CREATE!
Over the past few years, sustainability has become a mega trend and gained significant traction among decision-makers in industry and politics. With the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the global community has set out a number of important targets to help us achieve a more sustainable world over the next few decades. And while the SDGs are focussed around 17 specific areas, only a holistic and system-oriented approach will enable us to truly advance on each of these goals.
During the Life Cycle Innovation Conference (LCIC 2020), we will take a systems perspective when discussing sustainable innovation. We will look at both, innovative approaches and methods to address sustainability challenges as well as innovative products and services that will help us transition towards a more sustainable world.
In 2018 we brought together a diverse crowd of change-makers, innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, practitioners and decision-makers who share our passion for sustainability. For LCIC 2020 we aim to recreate an equally great diversity of perspectives to combine latest research with practical solutions, innovative approaches and concrete ways on how to implement sustainability most effectively and efficiently into today’s world.
We were absolutely thrilled by the positive feedback from our more than 150 participants from around the world after the first iteration of LCIC 2018 and thus cannot wait to welcome you to Berlin again in June 2020! If you did not participate in our previous conference, check out our conference videos to understand better what made LCIC 2018 a truly unique experience and what you can expect for LCIC 2020!

LCIC 2018 Feedback
“I noticed that there were a lot of creative tricks in encouraging interactions, which I certainly enjoyed. Not having a microphone during the presentation, having all lunches vegetarian, and gala dinner was very unique. (…) I also liked the freedom of the barcamps, where you can do whatever you want to do with the attendees as long as you have a motivation. I think the barcamp system worked pretty well.”
“The overall atmosphere, based on connection and sharing expertise. The best I’ve ever seen in a conference. The diversity of formats: sessions, workshops and barcamps. The catering, both during the day and at the gala dinner, was really high quality”
“The great atmosphere, which was probably supported by the bar-camps and workshops. People were invited to be open and discuss freely and did so throughout the whole conference. And vegan chocolate muffins.”
“The conference was unique in its attention to and detailed choices on sustainability at organizational as well as at executive level: at the conference not only sustainability was discussed, but it was put into action by organizing a sustainable event.”
