Scaling Sustainability through Life Cycle Assessment

We are pleased to invite you to the event “Scaling Sustainability through Life Cycle Thinking” hosted by the Forum for Sustainability through Life Cycle Innovation (FSLCI) on October 11th. Please note, the venue has changed, and our event is now taking place at the Science Gallery Bengaluru!

Having been involved in Indian Life Cycle events in the past, we are excited to once again support our community members in re-launching a shared effort to connect the Indian Life Cycle Community. The event will bring the community together to engage in conversations around the opportunities, challenges, and risks of advancing life cycle thinking in India.

Format

The event is designed to encourage conversations that advance the uptake of global best practices in India, while remaining firmly rooted in the perspectives and priorities of the local community.

The program will begin with keynotes from FSLCI leadership and our organizing partners, followed by presentations from industry experts showcasing how Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies are applied within their organizations. This will be complemented by a session highlighting current research projects in the LCA domain, providing insights into recent trends and developments.

We will then lead interactive workshops using our popular barcamp-style format, which participants have found highly valuable and engaging at past events. This session will center on India’s sustainability challenges and explore the role of LCA in addressing these issues in innovative ways.

The floor will then open up to a networking session designed to foster collaboration and support the wider adoption of LCA methodologies.

This event is hosted by The Forum for Sustainability through Life Cycle Innovation e.V. (FSLCI) together with the Council for Research on Policy and Governance (CRPG).

The FSLCI is a multi-stakeholder and membership-based organization for professionals working in business, science and policy organizations who are interested in and working with Life Cycle approaches to enhance the sustainability of economic activities. The FSLCI organizes workshops, summer schools, webinars and other events around life cycle innovation and offers a global life cycle community platform for the life cycle community.
