Sustainability Manager (m/f/d)

With our HELM 2030 strategy, sustainability is firmly anchored in our long-term vision as well as in our daily actions, with a clear focus on climate, biodiversity and inequality.

The Corporate Strategy & Sustainability Team is responsible for bringing HELM 2030 to life. In this context, we are currently implementing regular strategic reviews, non-financial reporting, new IT tools, sustainability reports, and training and empowerment measures. In short: We are driving the HELM 2030 strategy and all ESG-related topics within the HELM Group.

Would you like to be part of this development? To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Sustainability Manager (m/f/d) . The position is initially limited to one year.

Together with the business units, you will support the organization in achieving the HELM 2030 goals and meeting market and regulatory sustainability requirements. In this role, you will independently manage selected projects or tasks and support colleagues from various functions worldwide through a collaborative team.

Your tasks:

• In this role, you will coordinate and support HELM 2030-related strategy activities, for example in the area of ​​strategic planning or the sustainability assessment of investment projects.
• A key focus is on preparing HELM together with the team for strategic, market-related and regulatory requirements, such as in the context of HELM 2030 governance, CSRD reporting, ESG ratings or CO2 certificates.
• By collecting and consolidating sustainability data from across the HELM organization, you create transparency and help to gain valuable insights into the progress we are making towards achieving our sustainability goals.
• Working closely with various departments, you will support the analysis of sustainability data to achieve the HELM 2030 goals and to continuously improve ESG performance and sustainability awareness.
• Furthermore, you will take an active role in building and developing a sustainability network and promote partnerships in line with HELM 2030.

Your profile:

• You already have several years of professional experience in the field of sustainability and ideally also in strategy (e.g. projects, reporting, communication).
• Ideally, you have a good understanding of GHG calculations, ESG ratings, and regulatory topics (e.g., CSRD).
• Sustainability is important to you, and you want to make a positive contribution through your actions and support HELM in this endeavor.
• You are characterized by a structured work style, reliability, and a solution-oriented mindset.
• You are a team player and enjoy working in a collaborative environment to achieve common goals.
• You possess strong intercultural, social, and communication skills, as well as a confident and competent demeanor. Fluency in German and English completes your profile.
