An introduction to the new EU Taxonomy

The European Platform of Sustainable Finance started in October 2020 in accordance with the Taxonomy regulation Art. 20. As a permanent expert group of the European Commission, the Platform will assist the European Commission in developing its sustainable finance policies, notably the further development of the EU taxonomy.

The EU Taxonomy has the main goal to identify those economic activities which bring a substantial contribution to the six environmental objectives which are considered relevant to implement the European Green Deal. As such, the EU taxonomy is an important enabler to scale up sustainable investment.

This webinar presents details of the structure and activities with a particular focus on the work of the Technical Working Group (TWG). Prof. Marzia Traverso, one of the rapporteurs of the TWG, presents insights on the work done by the Platform.
