Event Details

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘A Roadmap to Change’, which highlights one of main themes linking each of the discussions and debates, that of moving from ‘certification’ to ‘transformation’ in the many sectors where standards are working.

Standard systems can have a variety of goals and objectives, but above all they need to work towards fundamentally changing how the world does business. And in doing so, help ensure sustainable development becomes a reality.

Certification alone cannot solve problems like rural poverty and climate change, but it can provide a roadmap.

Programme

The conference will commence on Wednesday 20 May with an evening cocktail reception and speeches, to be followed by the conference day on 21 May – a full day of plenaries, panel discussions, fishbowl style debates and breakout sessions. We finish the week with the ISEAL Community Day on 22 May, open to members and subscribers. Learn about becoming a subscriber to participate in the ISEAL Community Day.

The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday 19 May and 20 May: Various Pre-Conference Meetings and Workshops
Wednesday 20 May: Introduction to ISEAL and Evening Networking Reception (see programme)
Thursday 21 May: Global Sustainability Standards Conference – all day (see programme)
Friday 22 May: ISEAL Community Day (for ISEAL members and subscribers only) – all day (see programme)
