S-LCA 2024 (9th International Conference of Social LCA)

The 9th International Conference of Social Life Cycle Assessment, hosted by GTACV-S will be organized in Curitiba – PR, Brazil, from May 28-31, 2024.

The conference will be organized under the theme “Ways Forward to Social Change: Challenges and Opportunities for Life Cycle Assessment” and thus the critical role that Social LCA plays in advancing sustainability and social responsibility in various sectors will be explored. The conference brings together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to discuss the latest advances in the field of social life cycle assessment.

The S-LCA Conference is a biannual international event held since 2010, with the first edition taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark, with editions in France (Montpellier, 2012 and 2014), Canada (Montreal, 2013), United States (Cambridge, 2016), Italy (Pescara, 2018), Sweden (Gothenburg, 2020 ) and Germany (Aachen, 2022). The ninth edition will be the first to be held in the southern hemisphere and in a developing country (Brazil, Curitiba, 2024).

The event is promoted by the Social LCA Alliance, an association that aims to contribute to the Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment.
