Dear *|FNAME|*,
We hope we find you well. After quite some positive feedback during the CILCA conference in Lima, we’re now working full speed on preparing for the LCM 2015 Conference in Bordeaux. However, not only these preparations have kept us busy over the last few weeks. Read more about exciting new cooperations and developments in today’s edition of our members newsletter.Kind regards,
Jim, Guido and PhilipPreparations for LCM 2015 In less than three weeks from now, LCM 2015 will open its doors and welcome nearly 600 participants from around the world. For us, the conference will be a huge opportunity to not only meet hopefully many of you, but also to inform those about us, who’ve not yet heard about the FSLCI. To this end we will organize an entire plenary session on Monday morning (11am – 12:30pm) on the topic: Enhancing collaboration and communication towards mainstreaming LCM. It will be an interactive panel and we look forward to an interesting discussion. We will also have a booth in the exhibition area. To this end we would not only like to invite you to drop by and visit us, but also kindly ask you to help us spread the word! If you have any time during the conference, we’d be absolutely thrilled if you could assist us a little bit at the booth. Of course you can drop by anytime, but if you would like to help us plan the staffing of the booth, you can indicate times when you would be ready to help here: https://podio.com/webforms/13121405/893263
We’ll also have nice little buttons (see image on the right) which we’ll be handing out to our members to enhance the FSLCI’s visibility and get people talking about us. Thus drop by, get a button and help us spread the word! General Assembly on the 2nd of September On September the 2nd, right after the Closing Ceremony of the LCM conference, our annual General Assembly will take place. The General Assembly will convene from 5 – 7pm to elect a new Board of Directors, which is the principal organ of the FSLCI to govern and take strategic decisions, as outlined in our charter here. While we had planned to already inform you about the nominations and candidates, due to the holidays, a number of nominees have not yet been able to confirm their candidacy. Hence we’ll unfortunately have to postpone the official announcement of candidates until the end of next week. However, you will get a formal invitation to the General Assembly as well as instructions on how to participate, if you’re not in Bordeaux, later this week. If you haven’t registered yet but plan on attending in Bordeaux or remotely, inform us about your plans by registering below:

Please note: We’re happy to be able to announce that we’re now able to open the event not only to FSLCI members, but also friends of the FSLCI. Register Now! New Cooperations with National Life Cycle Networks Today we’re absolutely thrilled to be able to announce that we’ve recently signed partnership agreements with both, the American Centre for Life Cycle Assessment (ACLCA), as well as with the Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society (ALCAS). As part of these partnership agreements, we will soon launch a Regional Networks Coordination Committee. Also, FSLCI members can now join both, ACLCA and ALCAS with a 25% rebate on their annual membership fees. To join ALCAS, please get in touch with us directly. To join ACLCA, simply use the code: FSLCIMember. Please note that you can also get a 10% discount on ACLCA’s Life Cycle Professional Certification Program with the code: FSLCICertification.
In addition to these two partnerships we’re currently in discussion with a number of other national networks and organizations to develop similar agreements.
New Jobs Section is Live After quite a bit of time of coding and tweaking technical details, we’re really happy to officially launch our jobs portal today. Providing a central information hub on jobs in the life cycle space has always been one of the core services that we wanted to deliver for our members, but as well for the community as a whole.
As such, we’ve decided that, at least until the end of the year, everyone will be able to submit and view job postings, yet only our members, and thus you, will get some added functionality. This includes for example the ability to edit job postings, to bookmark interesting jobs or to set an alert for jobs which are of interest to you. If you log in to your account, you’ll see more menu items which give you the above-mentioned additional options.
As a member, you also have the ability to post a resume, which will only be visible for other members. In going forward, we will also allow to apply for jobs directly with these resumes, once jobs are posted through company members who manage their job postings through our website.
However, a jobs portal only works, if jobs are submitted. As such we would kindly like to invite you to either post jobs yourself or forward us (to [email protected]) any information on open jobs, so as to ensure that the jobs portal gains visibility and relevance. Thank you very much already in advance!Follow us also on
