Last week, we hosted the 4th Sustainability Insights workshop on “Building Trust in LCA: The Power of Verification & Critical Review.” Around 30 practitioners (onsite & remote) spent two days on issues such as data quality, uncertainty, and third‑party assurance. Presentations from Mauro CORDELLA (European Commission), Patrick Ober (ISCC – the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification), Daniel Philipp Müller (TÜV SÜD), Philippe Osset (Solinnen) and Stefan Zwerenz (IBU Verify GmbH) highlighted various key issues for the community. Interactive workshops tackled certifying tools/software, verifying PCFs/EPDs, AI as an enabler (with expert checks), pre‑verified templates, and clearer guidance on LCA critical review vs EPD verification.
