Today we are excited to let you know that our Life Cycle Summer School will be organized again in 2021. This year’s edition will focus on the theme “Life cycle approaches to sustainable building and construction in regions”. The Summer School will be organized again in virtual form from 9. – 30. September 2021.
This Summer School is an opportunity for professionals and regional managers to learn how to extend evolving life cycle management tools into new application areas in sustainable development – in this instance in the context of developing a deeper understanding how life cycle methodologies can contribute to a more sustainable building and construction sector.
The objective is to encourage use of promising LCM tools by stakeholders who have not so far employed these techniques extensively. This includes regional institutions, research teams and industrial associations that wish to enhance the effectiveness of their sustainability initiatives. LCSS 2021 is also aimed at young life cycle professionals and academics interested in broadening their client base by offering new applications.
This Summer School – the 10th in the current series – addresses the growing interest in the sustainability issues associated with the sustainable building and construction sector to promote regional sustainable development. The summer school is an event where we will study more critically a variety of instruments and toolboxes that can be combined to address all Sustainable Development Goals concurrently along the entire building cycle.
We are now accepting applications for our Summer School and invite you to learn more about our program and apply for it here.
