We are excited to let you know that we planted a tree today in Berlin, as announced during our first Life Cycle Innovation Conference, which we organized 29. – 31 August 2018 in Berlin. As outlined here, we put great efforts into making sure that we decrease our conference’s sustainability impacts as much as possible. In this context we decided against providing our keynote speakers with presents, but rather donated 500€ to the city of Berlin for their Stadtbaum Kampagne, a project by the city of Berlin to (re)plant donation based trees.
The city of Berlin matches each donation with a similar amount to cover for the cost of planting the tree and takes care of the maintenance of the tree. We are happy to report that the tree was planted today, on the 3rd of December 2018 at Kurze Straße 8, 13189 Berlin. Our CFOO Philip Strothmann helped plant the tree and installed the corresponding sign highlighting the donation by FSLCI e.V. and the LCIC 2018 participants.
We look forward to seeing the tree grow and would like to thank everyone for participating at LCIC 2018 and thereby help plant this tree!
