Today we are pleased to announce that the FSLCI’s members elected a new Board of Directors during our last General Assembly, which took place on the 19th of November. We would like to congratulate Christian Bauer, Hassana Elzein, Mathilde Vlieg, Prince Kumar, Ravi Teja Pabbisetty and Yuki Hamilton Onda Kabe on being elected into our Board of Directors. They will join Avantika Shastri, Guy Castelan, Marzia Traverso and Melissa Díaz Segura, who were elected for their two-year term last year.
The new Board of Directors is a great reflection of our diverse global community encompassing members from all over the world with various backgrounds. In this context we are really pleased that for the first time in FSLCI’s history, a major share of the Board is composed by business stakeholders from various industries.
Christian Bauer noted that he was “Happy and honored to serve in the Board of FSLCI – Fostering life cycle approaches as means to accelerate change in the “decade of action”. Ravi Teja Pabbisetty was “honored to be given this opportunity to serve on the FSLCI board. I look forward to working with all members to drive sustainability-led initiatives with open communication and transparency.” and Mathilde Vlieg stated that “With my background as an independent LCA practitioner, and having worked with industry and sustainable certification, I am happy to support FSLCI in keeping executing its mission and goals.”
The Board of Directors is the FSLCI’s principle organ to guide strategic decisions of the FSLCI and works in close collaboration with the FSLCI’s Executive Committee and Managing Director. During its first meeting, the new Board re-appointed Marzia Traverso as Chair of the Board of Directors and also re-appointed the previous Executive Committee, composed out of Guido Sonnemann, Martina Prox and Sanjeevan Bajaj, for another term.
The new Board of Directors as well as the Executive Committee are excited to work together to promote life cycle thinking globally in line with the FSLCI’s revised vision and mission.
