At the end of June we hosted our 3rd Life Cycle Innovation Conference (LCIC 2022). The conference was organized for the first time as a truly hybrid conference which enabled virtual participants not only to follow a diverse program, but also to contribute to it through live-streamed interventions.
Much like in the previous years, one key objective of our conference was to create a unique space to think in creative and new ways about how to foster sustainability efforts around the world and link it to innovation processes. During LCIC 2022 we sought to promote a better world by taking a systems perspective to foster sustainable innovation. Hence a diverse program with 18 sessions, 10 workshops and 13 barcamps offered a great opportunity to present and discuss innovative approaches and methods to address sustainability challenges, but also showcase innovative products and services that will help us transition towards a more sustainable world.
In addition to the various sessions, workshops and barcamps we set a focus theme per day to highlight challenges and opportunities, for example around how to decarbonize various industry sectors (see our panel), how to link digitalization and how to implement a circular economy (see our keynote speakers).
Much like with the previous iterations we managed to bring together a truly diverse crowd of change-makers, innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, practitioners and decision-makers who share our passion for sustainability – physically and virtually! While the interactive program elements such as our workshops and barcamps were not recorded, we will soon make recordings of all 18 sessions as well as the keynotes and the panel available.
In the meantime feel free to check out some impressions from our physical conference in the gallery on our conference website here!
