LCIS 2026 – 1st Indian Conference on Life Cycle Insights for Sustainability

We are so excited to invite you to the inaugural edition of our Indian Conference on Life Cycle Insights for Sustainability - LCIS 2026!

 

LCIS follows the very enthusiastic participation and excellent feedback of our community in India at the ‘Scaling Sustainability through Life Cycle Thinking“ seminar held on October 11, 2025 in Bengaluru.

 

Our community’s strong desire for an Indian platform has encouraged us to organize our very first Indian conference, bringing the Indian and global Life Cycle communities together for a curated experience combining knowledge-sharing and collaboration, stimulating dialogue, sharing best practices, and exploring opportunities for innovation through life cycle insights. LCIS 2026 offers a unique platform for demonstrating commitment to sustainable development through science-based impact assessment and improvement methodologies.

 

LCIS 2026 will be focused on five key themes:

2. Life Cycle education

1. Technology use in LCA

3. LCA methodology developments

4. Indian roadmap for scaling up LCT/LCM/LCA

5. Moving beyond product LCAs.

 

The conference will be held at the Goa Institute of Management (GIM) in the scenic state of Goa on India’s western coast. Goa is widely known for its rich biodiversity, coastal ecosystems, and unique cultural heritage. In addition to being a global tourism destination, the region is increasingly engaged in addressing sustainability challenges related to coastal management, sustainable tourism, waste management, and climate resilience. GIM has also developed a sustainable events framework, and with this conference, the organizers aim not only to discuss sustainability but also to lead by example and organize a low-impact event.

 

LCIS 2026 countdown has already begun, and we cannot wait to welcome – physically and virtually - our community of changemakers, innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers who share a passion for sustainability!

 

Much like FSLCI’s LCIC conference series in Berlin, we are focused on creating a unique atmosphere that fosters exchange, networking, and collaboration! In addition to sessions and workshops, FSLCI barcamps offer a unique format to brainstorm new ideas and engage in productive discussions on innovative methods, products or services.
