Change of Member Visibility Policy

We would like to inform you today that we are changing our policy with regards to the visibility of our members by the end of this month! As described in a longer statement here, this is mostly due to the forthcoming introduction of new features which are build around public member profiles.

Now, to balance added functionality with your privacy, we have also introduced a whole new level of privacy settings. These allow you to decide, whether you as a member actually want to be listed in our members directory and which fields on your profile you want to make visible for whom. In other words, you remain completely in control, in terms of what is visible to whom!

Important: However, please note that by the time that we go public with our members directory at the end of the month, your name, profile picture and location (city & country) will be visible to everyone – unless you change that setting yourself over the next two weeks! All actual member profiles are currently set to be visible only to “logged in users” – thus your fellow FSLCI members. Of course we would like to encourage you to update your profile and make some fields visible, as this might help you and others connect easier with you!

FSLCI Member Updates

As announced in our last newsletter, we are launching our FSLCI Member Updates webinar series next week on the 20th of June from 2 – 3pm CEST.

We will talk about a variety of things such as forthcoming changes to the members map, profiles, visibility settings etc. and of course our upcoming webinars. If you want to participate, please indicate your participation status here, where you will also find the call-in details (you need to be logged-in):

FSLCI Webinars

We would like to thank everyone who participated in our webinar topic poll. If you have not see the results yet, check out the final voting results here. We are currently discussing possible times for the webinars with those members whose topics have received most votes and will post a webinar schedule soon! Webinars will be free of charge for all of our members. Non-members will be charged half of the applicable membership fee per webinar.

FSLCI Networking

A number of our members were present last week at the annual meeting of the Chilean LCA Network. We would like to thank Pia, Carlos, Martina, Claudia, Sonia and Cassia for their effort to represent the FSLCI at the event! The FSLCI is about community building and networking and it is great to see fellow FSLCI members putting this into practice! As introduced in our last newsletter, let us know on our events pages where you will be and facilitate your networking with fellow FSLCI members!
