Last week we participated in the LCA XVII which took place from 3-5 of October in Portsmouth, NH, USA. The conference, organized by our North American partner organization the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment (ACLCA), brought together around 250 life cycle professionals to discuss a variety of LCA related subjects. The conference is one of the longest running life cycle conference series in the world and has well established itself as the place to learn more about all things life cycle in North America.
As in the previous years, we were present with our booth to inform our North American stakeholders about us and catch up with our local members. It was great to connect with old and new members and we highly appreciate the positive feedback. On the last day of the conference we ran a session on “Integrating a Life Cycle Perspective into the Circular Economy Vision”, based on our workshop in Berlin earlier this year.
The session was well attended and participants discussed in groups a set of questions, similar to those that we had discussed in Berlin. Despite the short time, participants reaffirmed for the most part the outcomes of our Berlin workshop.
All in all, LCA XVII was a great conference and we can’t wait to be back next year when the conference will take place in Colorado, USA!
