In line with our efforts to drive the application of LCM for Sustainable Regional Development, a number of our Working Group Members have launched an initiative to create a new open access Special Issue of the Journal Sustainability (Impact Factor 2.075) on the subject.
The editors of this Special Issue invite the review of life-cycle applications from both a scientific and a practical point of view, highlighting examples and case studies at a regional level. The life cycle applications should be relevant to actors from different economic sectors, as well as to public institutions responsible for regional planning and administrative procedures. Preference will be given to discussions of regional case studies , needs, actions, and outcomes that embody a life-cycle approach rather than describing individual products or business practices that are already extensively published elsewhere.
