Today we are excited to share that the FSLCI team is growing! As part of our commitment to delivering impactful events and projects for the life cycle community, we have recently welcomed two new part-time Junior Project and Event Managers to our team.
Joining us with fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and a passion for sustainability, Beyza and Sashank support the planning and coordination of our activities – from member engagement to the organization of our events like the Life Cycle Summer School or our next Sustainability Insights workshop. They are sharing the position that was previously held by Jules Rodschat, with whom we decided to part ways earlier this year.
We asked both of them what motivated them to join the FSLCI – here’s what they shared:
Sashank Kumar, Junior Project & Event Manager:
I joined FSLCI because I believe that sustainability solutions only create real impact when they reach the right places and people. FSLCI’s mission to bring the global Life Cycle community together and promote systemic thinking resonates strongly with me. I’m excited to learn what the LCA community needs and help expand its impact across industries.
Beyza Sel, Junior Project & Event Manager:
I’m excited to be part of FSLCI because it brings together diverse voices — from students and researchers to industry and public sector — from all around the world. Life Cycle Assessment is a key tool for encouraging more conscious and responsible production and consumption, which is essential for protecting our planet. FSLCI supports this mission by creating a unique space for dialogue that drives positive change. Being part of this effort truly motivates me.
Both, Sashank and Beyza have a background in working on sustainability issues and bring new perspectives, insights, and skills to the team. We are very much looking forward to creating new opportunities together with them to broaden the scope and impact of our activities. Please join us in giving them a warm welcome to the FSLCI family!
