We are pleased to announce the forthcoming workshop on the Contribution of Products to Avoided GHG Emissions which is organized by our partner organization, the The Institute of Life Cycle Assessment (ILCAJ), Japan and the LCA Society of Japan on Feb 9th in Tokyo, Japan.
The Working Group on Assessing the Contribution to Avoided Emissions has been established by the ILCAJ to identify general principles of methodologies for assessing the contribution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reviewing existing guidelines of industries and local governments. and then published “Guidelines for Assessing the Contribution of Products to Avoided Greenhouse Gas Emissions” in 2015.
The working group has discussed how the base line should be set up for each industrial sector. The results of the discussion will be reported in this seminar. These as well as the concerns around the calculation of the avoided emission will be discussed with international LCA experts during the seminar. In this context, ILCAJ invites you to participate in the related survey which is meant to help prepare for the discussion.
