Happy Holidays and a great start into 2020

On behalf of the entire FSLCI community, we would like to wish you a relaxed holiday season with your loved ones and all the best for the new year to come!

Looking back, 2019 has been a great year for the FSLCI and we wanted to take the opportunity and share some of our highlights with you:

At the beginning of the year we finally launched our Global Life Cycle Community Platform,
In February we organized a workshop titled “Plastic for Lunch – How to Best Address the Issue of Marine Litter?” together with ICUN at the WRF 2019 in Antwerp, Belgium,
In March we hosted two workshops in Bordeaux, France in cooperation with the University of Bordeaux on Regional Sustainable Development and Life Cycle Thinking as well as on Life Cycle Education,
In May we officially launched the MarILCA project jointly together with the Life Cycle Initiative,
In July we organized a workshop on Marine Litter & LCA in Latin America jointly together with the Life Cycle Initiative and the RICV ahead of CILCA 2019 in Cartago, Costa Rica,
At the end of August we organized the 8th Life Cycle Summer School in Berlin, Germany with more than 30 participants,
During LCM 2019 our members elected a new Board of Directors, which in turn appointed a new Executive Committee.

Besides these highlights we organized various webinars, we were present at numerous conferences and events around the world and participated in projects such as the Plastic Leak project in an advisory capacity.

But above all, we are absolutely thankful and excited about the positive feedback that we have been getting throughout the year! We love engaging with you on what’s important for the community and to better tailor our activities for next year and beyond, we recently launched the latest edition of our Global Life Cycle Community Survey, which we invite you to respond to!

We are excited about 2020, for which we have planned a lot! Most importantly though we are looking forward to see hopefully many of you during our forthcoming Life Cycle Innovation Conference in June 2020 in Berlin, Germany.

Before the new year begins though we wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year! We look forward engaging with you in 2020!
