Today we are excited to let you know about a new project we recently launched: Our Life Cycle Research Highlights! Over the last few years, more and more scientific research has been made accessible to anyone via open access. With our new project, we now seek to put a spotlight on open access papers that we feel deserve special attention! Each month, we plan on highlighting four relatively recently published papers that we consider innovative, insightful and well-written.
In addition to publishing the abstract along with some key meta data on our website, we are writing our own short summary, tell you what the objective of the paper is and why you should read it. Sounds interesting? Then we invite you to check out the papers we have already added to our library and join our dedicated newsletter, where we will share each month the papers we have highlighted! And if you feel we should put a spotlight on your paper, you can submit it for consideration by our selection committee.
The project is managed by Tatiana Ayala, who recently joined the FSLCI as a volunteer. Tatiana is a Colombian environmental engineer, with a double master’s degree in environmental sciences and natural resources management from universities in Mexico and Germany. Her work around LCA focuses on the management and transformation of organic waste at the municipal level.
