Today we are really thrilled to share with you that the second paper of our Working Group on Teaching LCA in Higher Education has been published! In this open access publication the results from our global survey on Teaching LCA at Universities around the world are presented and discussed in detail.
The survey, which collected data from more than 200 universities, highlights that – on average – LCA is being taught less comprehensively than initially estimated in our first paper and mostly as part of modules and specializations, rather than as stand-alone study programs. The survey results emphasize the need to further support the inclusion of LCA into study curricula around the world.
We would like to especially thank our Working Group leader Tobias Viere for getting the paper across the finish line as well as all co-authors for their awesome work: Joshua Lehmann, Zoe Chunyu Miao, Kevin Harding, Philip Strothmann, Steffi Weyand, Laurie Wright, Takunda Chitaka & Guido Sonnemann.
