As part of their LCM-CMM pilot projects to apply the Life Cycle Management Capability Maturity Model (LCM CMM), the UNEP / SETAC Life Cycle Initiative is currently looking for feedback on the new workbook.
The LCM CMM project is intended to help build capacity for more comprehensive life cycle methods in small to medium sized enterprises at lower tiers of global supply chains. A draft workbook was developed based on the experiences of the pilot projects to give a broad overview of the approach that is accessible to companies with limited understanding of or experience with life cycle management.
The objective of the LCM CMM is to complement top-down initiatives for sustainable value chains with a bottom-up approach that helps companies develop more rigorous methods based on life cycle thinking that provide both improved environmental performance and competitive advantage.
The Initiative is seeking now feedback on the workbook to assess how well these objectives have been achieved. If you would like to provide comments and suggestions please visit the website of the project to download the feedback form. The feedback period will be open until 24 May 2015. Results of the feedback will be summarized and presented at LCM 2015 in Bordeaux, France.
