The workshop demonstrates the principles of circular economy and shows strategies for applying circularity within product designers and supply chains. The intricacies of the MCI are explained, highlighting its importance, strengths and weaknesses in quantifying material circularity and promoting sustainable product life cycles in the context of LCA.
Topics in this session include an examination of MCI, presentation of case studies with successful MCI applications on LCA practices, and group activities focused on practical MCI analysis using the presented toolkit. The workshop content provides participants with practical experience in applying MCI to assess and improve the material circularity of products by receive actionable insights into improving material circularity and using MCI to assess and enhance product sustainability.
