Main Presenter:    Felix M. Piontek

Co-Authors:   Ronja Kuhn     Michael Rodewald

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a critical tool for evaluating the environmental impact of products and services throughout their life cycle. However, conducting LCA can be a complex and time-consuming process, particularly for diverse manufacturing companies that produce a wide range of products. In this workshop, we will discuss the challenges and solutions for implementing LCA and LCA automation in diverse manufacturing companies.

We will explore the challenges of data collection, management, and LCA methodology decisions. We will also discuss the importance of standardized LCA methodologies to ensure consistency and comparability of results across different products and processes.

The session will provide an open forum for participants to share their experiences and insights on LCA and LCA automation within their companies and research. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the challenges and potential solutions. The session will also encourage participants to share their ideas and perspectives on how LCA automation can be utilized to achieve sustainable production and consumption.

In summary, we aim to foster a collaborative discussion among manufacturing companies and other interested parties on the challenges and solutions for implementing LCA as well as LCA automation. By sharing experiences and insights, participants can gain practical knowledge and learn from each other’s experiences.
