ORIS Materials Intelligence is a digital platform for simulating and optimising the use of construction materials in infrastructure projects such as roads and railways. Its primary objective is to reduce the environmental impact at every stage of the infrastructure project. The solution integrates and provides access to materials data knowledge and general project data, thereby connecting the entire infrastructure ecosystem. The workshop will showcase how ORIS supports reducing infrastructure costs and carbon footprint through informed material choices, with the motivation to democratise Life Cycle Assessment through its digitalisation and to enable sustainable project planning.

The platform focuses on assessing linear infrastructure designs, considering factors like material properties, geolocation, traffic, and weather conditions. It offers predictive insights, forecasting the environmental and economic impacts of infrastructure projects, and enables proactive, well-informed and early decision-making.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with the platform, experiencing the transformative impact of digital twins. This immersion will enable them to discover ways to enhance the sustainability of infrastructure projects and to optimise material usage. Moreover, ORIS aims to foster collaborations among diverse stakeholders, including authorities, engineers, financiers, contractors, and material suppliers. This initiative is geared towards encouraging sustainable practices and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
